We are happy to keep bringing you Hugs Across America news, highlight activities of our volunteers and create a fun place for our visitors, supporters and friends of our mission.
The Cornell Club of Long Island donates thirty bears to Hugs thanks to the efforts of Susan Guarnaschelli Collins, and the LI alumni. Each year the club has a Christmas Party and each aluni bring a teddy for Hugs. What a great idea...perhaps other alumni clubs might consider this for their future events.
Hugs of Hope Chapter in Huntington, West Virginia, delivers bears to classrooms. Read more.

Dr. Edelstein enjoys rollerblading on the streets of Great Neck and spending time with his wife Judy, their four sons and grandchildren. Oh, and by the way, he is great with the kids in the hospital, and is often seen handing out teddies to brighten their stay. Thank you Dr. Edelstein for your untiring effort on behalf of Hugs and our mission to comfort children in crisis.
We all had a great time, for a great cause. Remember, every $5 goes to a new teddy or to shipping it to the first response unit that is on the front lines of a crisis. We partied until we dropped and little Nicholas was able to keep those cookies in his hands even as he fell asleep.
