 Carrie Cohen
Carrie Cohen became involved in Hugs when her daughter, Talia, twelve years old at the time, decided that she wanted to help children in crisis by collecting and donating Teddy Bears. As her daughter's chapter grew locally, so did Carrie's involvement. Carrie, in addition to having four wonderful children of her own, has taught elementary and middle school students in the East Meadow School District on Long Island for 25 years. As a mom and as a teacher, Carrie can attest to the value of "hug" in tough times.
