Honoree for the November , 2006 Hugs Benefit at Manhasset Bay Yacht Club.( Scott is the Head Sailing Coach at Hobart William Smith Colleges and has been instrumental in starting a Chapter of Hugs, helped with introducing Hugs to the Liberty League and through President Mark Geran to the Peace Corps Crisis Intervention Unit.)

Scott has been twice named "National Coach of the Year" by the Olympic Committee.
